Dad

One of the many posts I wanted to write had to be about Dad, too.

Hi, Dad,

I want to tell you that you are so important to me. And above all, you are the most amazing dad in the whole wide world.

The way you manage to be there for me and handle everything with me is breathtaking. The way you take care of me and play with me is indescribable. The way you manage to stay STRONG through the bad times is heroic. The way you manage to be the pillar of our family takes so much of your energy, which you now have to divide between me, Mum, the household, looking after the house, and work.

You always try to do absolutely EVERYTHING you can for us. It has always been that way, but now you are pushing beyond your limits, and that is why I want to tell you that Mum and I are so incredibly proud of you.

YOU ARE OUR SUPERHERO.

The love you give me is a love I will pass on to others. I wish every child had a dad like YOU. I wish every child in the world could be just as lucky.

Because of you, we believe that we can get through it all. Because of you, I can say that one day, I will get back on my feet.

You are everything I have in this world; you are the harbour I always sail back to.
